It's getting towards the end of May (already). Marilyn and I will soon be heading to Africa with her kids and grandkids for a safari in Kenya.
Afterwards, we'll stop in the UK to see the initial progress on the A4702 in the shipyard on the Isle of Wight.
Marilyn and I are then scheduled to take a 4 day Skipper's Course at Mendez Marine in Southampton that specializes in all things motor boat. I want to get an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) certification prior to next summer when the A4702 is ready. This will be recognized by all the European marinas and hopefully reduce my insurance costs. As importantly this 4 day intensive training will help Marilyn and I work together to operate a liveaboard yacht by ourselves.
I'll be blogging a bit more in June as we meet Stephen, Thomas, others on the Archipelago team and see the initial stages of the boat build.
Recently, Thomas sent a CAD video of the "VIP Hull" (where you'll be staying if you come join us). As usual comments are always welcome.
